Here's everything you need to know in 60 seconds:
Discover and complete your character's objective during Round 3. Learn from your clues and conversations to understand what you need to accomplish.
The game will be played over the course of three rounds that have an Intrigue phase and a Quorum phase.
Clues guide your character's actions each round. Learn new information from your clues and complete the tasks.
Quorums determine who wins. Support the right ones, reject the wrong ones. Trade votes to make deals with other players.
Don't share clues or objectives unless a task tells you to. You can lie if it helps your character.
Choose your character, enter the password, and check your character page for clues. New information unlocks each round.
Pro Tip: Read the full rules below for detailed gameplay mechanics, app features, and troubleshooting help.
Victory depends on navigating Quorums and achieving your secret objectives:
Throughout the game, Quorums will be called — key moments where players vote on major events. Each Quorum presents a statement, like:
"Should we kill the King?"
You will then choose a response on your Character Page for the Quorum.
If a Quorum gets the required level of support, the outcome will occur.
In Round 3, four final Quorums decide who wins the game. Each character's victory depends on specific outcomes — some events must pass, others must fail, and some will not be relevant for your character.
Your goal is to steer the Quorums toward the outcomes that match your secret win conditions.
You won't know your exact win conditions at the start.
Hints come from your objectives, clues, and conversations during the game.
Use deduction, persuasion, and alliances to uncover what you need — then make it happen.
task-type Clue, mark it completed once done. The game is played over the course of 3 Rounds. Each round will start with an Intrigue phase where you will complete your tasks and responses. Then, the rounds will move to the Quorum phase where you will work with other players to complete objectives.
The current round can be viewed from your character page. Remember to check your character page at the start of each round when new information is released.
During the course of the game, you will receive information, called clues, about what your character and what they should be doing. Each clue will have a type:
This type of clue provides information about your character. This has no direct action, but will help to give you background on why you are taking the actions that you are taking.
This is what your character must do during the round.
Tip: For help in finding which character to talk to, use the Character Index link on the bottom of the home page to see who you need to talk to.
Important: Mark tasks as complete using the "Mark Complete" button once you've finished them. This helps you track your progress and can be toggled on/off as needed.
This is guidance for how your character should respond when approached by specific players.
Important: Mark response tasks as complete using the "Mark Complete" button once you've handled the interaction. This helps you track which responses you've already dealt with.
These are premonitions that your character has about their future. These will help you figure out what you need to do to win the game.
This is your role in a given Quorum (see Quorum section below for more information).
A Quorum is a group of people who want some specific event to occur. Some characters will receive Quorum type clues that will indicate their specific role in a Quorum.
There will be 3 Quorum rounds with 4 quorums in each round. These sets of quorums will follow the main 4 story points of the game. The quorums will appear to you as 4 questions that you'll need to decide the outcome for. For each question you will separately “Submit Vote” and then “Lock Vote”. After the vote is locked you may not change the vote for that specific Quorum. Unlike any other part of the game you may show your phone and votes to other players. More importantly, you can use this to make a deal with someone to “Lock Vote” for one Quorum they want in exchange for them locking in a vote for one you want. Use this to strategically make your agenda happen without accidentally supporting a cause that is against your interests.
Quorums are the mechanism that determine if you win or lose the game, make sure you review your personal objective, and your clues before deciding how you vote in the Quorum.
If your Quorum clue indicates that you are a Quorum Leader, it's your job to find support for your cause by recruiting other players. Your clue will tell you how many players you need to join your cause. Once you convince the required number of players, have them “Lock Vote” on their ballot, and find a game moderator to resolve the Quorum.
Note: Quorum Leaders are also able to join other quorums.
You may receive a Quorum clue that you are being targeted by a specific Quorum. You're objective is to make the Quorum fail this round. IF the Quorum succeeds, your dark secrets, plans, or safety will not be guarenteed.
You may be approached by a Quorum Leader, or other members of a Quorum. It is your choice whether to join or decline the Quorum. Remember, Quorums are what win or lose you the game, so think carefully before deciding if you want to join.
You may receive messages during the course of the game. These can come at any time during a round.
Your character page displays clues in two viewing modes:

The game is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. Use the menu button in the top-right corner to navigate on smaller screens. For the best mobile experience, consider installing the PWA as described above.
Now that you understand the rules, it's time to choose your character and start your cosmic adventure. Remember: complete your tasks, participate in Quorums wisely, and may the best strategist achieve victory in this battle between Wizards and Aliens.
